World of Wearable Art

The annual World of Wearable Art Awards will be held this year on Thursday 25 September and auditions are just around the corner! The competition infuses art, costumer, fashion, colour and dimensions to create a two-hour theatrical show held in Wellington for an audience of near 50, 000 per season.

This year’s 2014 WOW Section themes are: Children’s Section (Colour), American Express (Open), Bizarre (Bra), Avant Garde, Gen-I Creative Excellence (Airborne) and WETA Workshop costume & film (Kingdoms of the East). The event describes the body as a “canvas” where the imagination is to explore and take the audience on a journey. Take your eyes on an artsy adventure with our YSL Red Havanas.

The Chocolate and Coffee Show 2014

Got a sweet tooth? We sure do! If you’re anything like us you’ll be heading to The Chocolate and Coffee Show  this weekend at The Cloud, Auckland. The two day event promises to welcomes us to a celebration of all things chocolate and coffee.! Does it get much better than that? Both dark, decadent and delicious, chocolate and coffee are obviously the perfect match .

So what to wear to this tasty affair? Let’s be honest, when chocolate and coffee are involved, we’d be happy to wear anything! But as it’s an inside affair, we recommend our 7039 frames in black by Derek Cardigan.
