Biweekly and Weekly contact lenses are technologically advanced lenses with enhanced durability so they can be comfortably worn every day for one week, or worn continuously for 2 weeks, before replacing. Compared to daily disposable contacts, weekly and bi-weekly disposable contact lenses provide higher oxygen transferability and thinner, smoother lenses to prevent unwanted materials from sticking to the surface. They’ll need to be taken out nightly, but are far more cost-effective than single-wear contacts.<CRLF>What are weekly contact lenses?<CRLF>Weekly contact lenses are designed with the manufacturer suggesting the lenses be replaced every week or according to your eye care professional’s recommendations. The lenses generally are taken out every night to be cleaned and disinfected and inserted again in the morning. Some weekly lenses may be FDA approved for wear overnight but this must only be done with the approval of your eye care professional after determining your eyes are healthy enough to do this.
